These Terms of Service govern your use of communications and outreach programs operated by ISKCON of Niagara, including event invitations, SMS messages, email communications, and phone calls made on behalf of the organization. By engaging with our communications, you agree to these terms.

1. About ISKCON Niagara

ISKCON of Niagara (the International Society for Krishna Consciousness, Niagara) is a registered charitable organization serving the Niagara region of Ontario, Canada. We are a spiritual and religious organization dedicated to sharing ancient Vedic wisdom, providing free vegetarian meals, and hosting community events including Ratha Yatra, Sunday Feast programs, Kids Classes, and Kirtan gatherings.

2. SMS and Phone Communications

ISKCON Niagara may contact members and community supporters by phone or SMS for the following purposes:

1. Event invitations for programs such as Ratha Yatra, Sunday Feast, Janmashtami, and other spiritual and community gatherings

2. Event registration links and confirmation details

3. Event reminders and scheduling updates

4. Volunteer and community engagement opportunities

 

You will only receive SMS messages after providing your explicit verbal or written consent during a call or via a registration form. Message frequency varies depending on upcoming events and campaigns. Typically you may receive between 1 and 5 messages per campaign.

Standard message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan.

3. How to Opt Out

You may opt out of SMS communications at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from us. You may also opt out by emailing iskconofniagara@gmail.com with your name and phone number and a request to be removed from our contact list.

Once you opt out, you will no longer receive SMS messages from ISKCON of Niagara. You may re-subscribe at any time by contacting us at info@iskconofniagara.com.

4. Email Communications

By providing your email address to ISKCON Niagara during a call, event registration, or subscription form on our website, you consent to receiving event-related emails including invitations, registration confirmations, reminders, and community updates.

You may unsubscribe from email communications at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email or by contacting us directly at info@iskconofniagara.com.

5. Event Participation

All ISKCON Niagara events are open to the public regardless of faith, background, or community. Events are conducted in the spirit of seva (selfless service) and Bhakti yoga. By attending an event, participants agree to conduct themselves respectfully in accordance with the values of the organization.

ISKCON Niagara reserves the right to photograph and video record events for community and promotional purposes. If you do not wish to be photographed, please inform a volunteer or organizer at the event.

6. No Commercial Use

ISKCON Niagara is a registered charitable organization. All communications are for community, spiritual, and charitable purposes only. We do not sell products, engage in commercial advertising, or charge fees for attending our regular programs. Donations are accepted voluntarily to support our charitable mission.

7. Third Party Services

We use third-party tools to manage event registrations (Eventbrite), communications (email and phone), and our website (Wix). Your use of those platforms is also subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies. ISKCON of Niagara is not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party platforms.

8. Limitation of Liability

ISKCON Niagara provides all programs, communications, and services on a best-efforts basis as a charitable organization. We are not liable for any loss, injury, or damage arising from participation in our events or reliance on our communications beyond what is required by applicable law.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. The most current version will always be available at www.iskconofniagara.com. Continued engagement with our communications after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
